GFWC Illinois Fairbury Woman's Club (at The club will be at the PCHS football game collecting WHITE athletic socks that will be stuffed in the Christmas Stockings for Operation Santa. )
5th Annual "Put A Sock in It" - Operation Santa 2014 - an organization that sends Christmas Stockings to those over seas troops for the holidays.
If not attending the game, socks may be dropped off at 409 W. Chestnut St., Fairbury before October 1st.

There will be speakers at this open house will real life experiences with wind farms followed by a question and answer session. There will be a free ice cream social and candy. Children are welcome. This is being sponsored by the Citizens of Livingston County.

Fall Bi-Annual Book Sale
Friends of Dominy Library have re-stocked the shelves with a great variety of categories covering popular authors, mysteries, history and gardening. They have a large selection of cook books to help you start planning your holiday cooking and baking. Shopping hours are conveniently scheduled for Thurs. Sept 25th: 9am-6pm; Fri. Sept. 26th: 9am-5pm & Sat. Sept 27th: 9am-12 noon. While you are taking in the all town garage sale, stop in for some great fall & winter reading material.

Operation Santa 2014 - an organization that sends Christmas Stockings to those over seas troops for the holidays.
Items needed for the stockings include: Christmas card, hot cocoa, hard candy, gum, sticks of beef jerky, granola bars, word search game books, breath mints, ind. drink mixes to put into bottled waters, computer games, lip balm, white athletic socks, pocket pack of tissues, hand sanitizer, dental floss, AA batteries, travel size foot powder, toothbrushes, travel size toothpaste, travel size deodorants and feminine products, snack size bags are needed as well to package some of the items. Please no soap, glass, aerosol, or full-size products.
